The references to FreshChoice Online Shopping in this Privacy Notice are applicable only to FreshChoice stores that offer that service. Not all FreshChoice locations provide Online Shopping, and other available services may vary by store.

References in this Privacy Notice to "FreshChoice", "we" or "our store" are a reference to "FreshChoice Ngāruawāhia".

FreshChoice Online Shopping contains applications which collect personal information about you. In using FreshChoice Online Shopping, you consent to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and this Privacy Notice.

Collection of Information

In addition to the matters set out in our Privacy Policy, in using FreshChoice Online Shopping we collect your personal information for the purposes of:

1. processing your registration application;
2. assessing your credit-worthiness;
3. undertaking any dealings or transactions with you;
4. processing and delivery of your order(s);
5. enabling you to participate in a loyalty program offered by us, such as the Everyday Rewards loyalty program;
6. enforcing any legal or other rights we may have against you in any manner that we see fit;
7. sending you any advertising or promotional material; and
8. enhancing FreshChoice Online Shopping so that we may offer you a better, more personalised and tailored service.

If you visit our store, we may collect your personal information through CCTV or other security camera systems in use for security, theft prevention or safety purposes. This may include video footage of you and the number plate of your vehicle.

We may also collect information from you if you participate in a survey, promotion or competition in our store, or when you otherwise communicate with us (e.g. through social media or by contacting our store to make an enquiry).

Collection from other sources

In using FreshChoice Online Shopping you also authorise us to collect personal information about you from any other source available to us including, but not limited to, credit referral agencies and your bank (present and past). We may also collect limited information from the Everyday Rewards loyalty program in order to facilitate your participation in that program with FreshChoice Online Shopping or in our store.

FreshChoice's Right to Refuse Application

If sufficient personal information is not supplied, or is not satisfactory to us, then we reserve the right to refuse to accept the person's application to register to use FreshChoice Online Shopping.

We may use 'cookies' on our website to assist with the functionality of our website and improve your experience on our website. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on how we use cookies.

Website Analysis Tools

FreshChoice uses Google Analytics to collect information such as the number of visitors to its websites per day, or the number of pages requested per day. In order for this to occur, a small piece of code is placed on each website page which counts these statistics. This non-personal information is aggregated by Google Analytics and enables us to measure activity within our websites which in turn is used to continually improve our sites and our service to our customers.
Emails sent on behalf of FreshChoice to registered shoppers may include code that measures e-mail response and click through activity.

Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and / or for any of the purposes listed in the "Collection of information" paragraph above, including but not limited to:

1. our employees;
2. our loyalty program partner (Everyday Rewards);
3. research and/or marketing firms;
4. credit referral agencies; and
5. business advisors.

If you choose to scan your loyalty card in our store or link your loyalty membership to your FreshChoice Online Shopping account, transaction information will be shared with that loyalty program. This may include your loyalty card number, details of the transaction (e.g. location, product and total), and any reward points earned or redeemed in the transaction.

Storage of Personal Information

Any personal information that you provide to us through FreshChoice Online Shopping will be collected and held by us or on our behalf.

FreshChoice has taken many steps, from both technical and systems perspectives, to ensure that Customers' information is well protected. However it is important that Customers remember to never share their Login with any other person.

While FreshChoice endeavours to keep the Customer's personal information collected on FreshChoice Online Shopping secure and confidential, no member of the FreshChoice Group shall be responsible for any breach of security caused by third parties, nor represents that FreshChoice Online Shopping is completely secure.

Your Rights of Access

You have the right to access and seek correction of your personal information held by us.

Customers may also access and update certain personal information held by FreshChoice in the "My Account" area of FreshChoice Online Shopping.
